Rogersville to Greenville

On March 21, 1864 a detachment of the 13^th Tennessee Cavalry (Union) attacked Confederate forces at Rogersville killing 23 and capturing 35 before the Confederates retreated toward Kingsport.  Following up on the enemy, the 10^th Michigan Cavalry and 9^th Tennessee Cavalry attacked their position on a ridge south of the Greenville road.  A running battle ensued until the Confederate force retreated to Kingsport.
