Save Our Battlefields License Plate Travels the State

Driving for Preservation!

TCWPA Driving for Preservation is a statewide campaign with the goal of encouraging folks in every county to purchase the Save Our Battlefields license plate and display their support for battlefield preservation. Recognized as a National Civil War Heritage Area, Tennessee features a Civil War Trails program which encourages visitors to travel and experience these sites first-hand.

From Bristol to Memphis, the license plate has been seen traveling the highways and byways of our state. License plate owners are experiencing the well-known and less familiar stories of Tennessee’s rich Civil War heritage.

The Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association (TCWPA) uses proceeds from the sale of the plate and your generous donations to preserve and interpret Tennessee’s most important and endangered battlefields.

“Purchasing this plate is a wonderful opportunity to help preserve Tennessee’s endangered Civil War battlefields for our children and future generations.” said TCWPA President Anthony Hodges, “Tennesseans can also commemorate and promote their rich Civil War history.”
