Leadership Team Transitions

TCWPA PRESIDENT ANTHONY HODGES RECOGNIZED Daniel Taylor for his work as Board member for over many years. Taylor’s expertise with West Tennessee Civil War battlefield research was instrumental to the development of the Statewide Preservation Plan. Taylor requested to be moved to the Advisory Board due to the workload of his “real” job as an attorney. The Board appreciates Taylor’s continued commitment to TCWPA and his willingness to serve on the Advisory Board.

The Annual Members meeting, hosted by Franklin’s Charge / Franklin Civil War Round Table, was held in Franklin on March 9, 2024. The preservation tour was led by Taylor Agan, History Lover and Songwriter, Curb Records and Greg Wade, Board Member of TCWPA and Franklin’s Charge. The annual meeting and tour were a huge success with more than 50 members and guests attending. TCWPA members approved the ballot for election of the 2024-2025 Board of Directors. All approved Directors returned for another year. Members also approved TCWPA’s Annual Report which is available for review at www.tcwpa.org/annual-report-for-2023. Members from across the state participated in an amazing tour led by Taylor Agan of the site of “The Hanging Tree” which is located on private property in Franklin. Board member Greg Wade led the group on a tour of Carter Hill, which is part of a $5 million Civil War preservation project in Franklin. TCWPA looks forward to scheduling the 2025 Annual Members meeting and Preservation Tour.

TCWPA Board and members attended a Middle Tennessee preservation tour of The Hanging Tree in Franklin where Taylor Agan and Board member Greg Wade led the tour.
