TCWPA HONORS PRESERVATIONIST
JOHN TIMOTHY HEATH

The 2004 Robert A. "Bob" Ragland Award for Civil War battlefield preservation
was presented to John Timothy Heath of Lebanon, TN at the April 10th TCWPA annual membership meeting.  Nominated by the Cumberland Valley Civil War Heritage Association,  Mr. Heath’s research identified key Battle of Hartsville
sites and is the subject of his book Morgan’s Daring Raid.  Mr. Heath led efforts
to create a Memorial Park in Hartsville  and developed an auto-tour interpretive
trail about the battle and General John Hunt Morgan. Mr. Heath is a member
of the Battle of Hartsville Preservation Committee.
