Charleston-Calhoun-Hiwassee Historical Society Receives Grant

On July 23, 2016, TCWPA Vice-President Anthony Hodges presented a $250.00 grant to the Charleston-Calhoun-Hiwassee Historical Society (CCHHS) for the continued work of preserving and interpreting Civil War sites in Bradley and McMinn counties.    Hodges presented the check to Darlene Goins at the luncheon provided by CCHHS volunteers for the Three-Star Tour participants.   TCWPA recognized Goins’ efforts to help coordinate the Three Star Tour, “The Line of the Hiwassee,” the wonderful hospitality of the CCHHS volunteers, and the historical society’s outstanding accomplishments in preserving and interpreting both Native American and Civil War history in the area.
