The Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association is a non-profit organization devoted to the preservation of Tennessee's endangered Civil War battlefields and items having war-related significance.
Our purpose is to acquire, preserve and protect the hundreds of Civil War battlegrounds, buildings, sites and properties throughout the state. The TCWPA also strives to interpret the history of the turbulent years of 1860-1865 in our great state, and to promote knowledge of the roles played by Tennessee during the Civil War.
The association also promotes educational programs to inform the public about the war, the conflicts that caused it, and the role Tennessee played throughout the years it lasted.
The TCWPA is an all-volunteer organization. Without your help, the Association can have only limited success. Be worthy of the name VOLUNTEER! Add your talents to ours and preserve the heritage and pride of Tennessee.
The TCWPA is pleased to unveil our new Tennessee Battlefield Assessment. Here you will find detailed information regarding the major battles that were fought in Tennessee as well as information on all Civil War engagements that occurred in Tennessee. You can navigate to the Battlefield Assessment using the navigation bar to the left.
